So Hooch is the one at Blacksoil and the one at Walloon turn off VAS's ?

sneeky buggers, havn't even noticed these camera poles going up,not what you'd expect,i was looking for the big white boxes they have in nsw,but these cameras are mounted on the front of the pole and are so small you wouldn't even see them unless you were looking for them.and it looks like they can cover all 4 lanes.but they point towards toowoomba,so if your on your bike heading towards brissie they can't get your number plate.but if youve been on a 1%er poker run and are on their data base they might be able to match the pictures, time will tell.

Those new speed cameras are a worry, and with the gov selling off all our income producing state based assets, they'll be on the hunt for revenue any way they can get it. Sneaky camoflaged speed cameras disguised as signs will proliferate - from what I understand, that info board in the Cunningham Highway near Riverview has one in it also.

I will bet these things will become the norm, so I guess the word to the wise will henceforth be - when you spot an information board, slow to the speed limit well before and ride past at that speed. Or install rotating rego plate holders like on the James Bond Aston Martin DB5....

Special Thanks to wyld from nexG electrical services
I know were really happy with our monitor sort of cool to see how much power we're burning without air con on it about $0.04 a hr
and a 42 cent an hr it beats chopping firewood
had to pull the add as the response was overwhelming an only had ten freebee's if missed out sorry but even at $50 the globs along are worth more than that, so if interested in anything to do with electrical work give Paul a call on 0412647305

warning from our friend in transport department

Post by Cheffie on 30/06/09, 06:21 pm

Beware - New hidden speed cameras become operational at Blacksoil and Haigslea this Friday.

Also in 2 weeks another one becomes operational at Minden.

These new hidden speed cameras look like information boards telling you to slow down. They take photos across both lanes from 200 metres away.

Be warned.
