You're probably getting sick of this but I'm not. I fly to Canberra early Friday morning do the legals, get my photo in the Bombala times, and ride for Brisbane. I expect to get home on Saturday. What range can I expect from a 17ltr tank ?

Re: Jen and Smokey Road Trip
Hi All,
In Melbourne for a week after a wonderful ride. At our beach shack at Merimbula I could watch whales while lying in bed, Jen says " Whats new, I see that every morning when you get up". Popped a rear tyre at the top of the Imlay road, the road that goes nowhere, no town at the top or bottom, there's a forest at the top and a pulp mill at the bottom. Huge trucks take timber down to the mill and return with their trailers on their backs, they go faster uphill than down. Plugged the tyre at the top and filled it with air and cruised down the mountain. I stopped to check it at a concrete bridge over a river and pulled out gently onto the road in 1st taking it easy on bike and tyre. Within seconds my mirrors filled with a fully laden timber truck running down onto the bridge hard to be able to climb the other side. I hit the gas and things happened really fast, the induction noise sounded like an air raid siren, the exhaust like a jet, and the front wheel came up and stayed up till the other end of the bridge. The truck disappeared and I hit redline in first with one wheel in the air. Thankfully it came down straight and didn't bounce, just a minor tremor, I changed the rear tyre next day. I've gotta be more gentle with the throttle, thats the first time I've really wrung its neck and its scary !
We're happy and healthy, we return via a cliff house in Katoomba, and a nudist colony in Barrington Tops, but right now we're enjoying spring race week in Melbourne. Jen hid 6 pair of shoes in the trailer.
Love to all, see ya Smokey

Re: Jen and Smokey Road Trip
We leave on Friday morning, chances are we'll run into back of Easyriders riding south and head-on with the ones riding north to the 35th reunion. If I get a flat will they stop to help ?
